Off the Reservation

Earlier this evening I told Alex that he was off the reservation. I felt guilty saying that, since it's not politically correct, but since someone made a comment about Native Americans in a previous post, I thought I'd go ahead and post it.

Since Alex was wearing a sleeper, the only thing that could make traction on the floor was his hands. So he just kept pushing himself backward.

Alex and Cousin Colton

Colton has enjoyed reading his little cousin books. It's great to have a helper around!

First (First) Cousin

Colton, one of our nephews, arrived yesterday to spend the week with us. He's the first first cousin that Alex has met. Colton seemed to actually like being around him! He fed him while we were out running errands and read books to him before naptime. And Alex likes having him around! I do too--he's been such a big help!

Is it the '80s yet?

I'm ready for the '80s with my ruffled and feathered hair. Now I need a polo shirt so I can pop the collar. And do they make white Reebok hightops in my size?

Photoshoot

Heinz loves for me to send him pictures of Alex while he's at work. I think it makes his day go by faster.

Alex is just a blur here.

Well hello ladies..

I think he's beginning to enjoy the animals on his wall.

Time to grab his toes. Alex doesn't seem to be able to nom on them much. I think his thighs are too fat.

Sleeping

I love to take pictures of Alex sleeping, because he looks so cute. The top one is from a few nights ago, and I took the second one a few minutes ago.

Yes, we put a board in the back of the crib. Alex rolls to the right and then he gets his hands and legs caught between the slats. But this morning I found him horizontal in his crib with his feet sticking out the front. He didn't seem too bothered by it though.

So Tired

Alex fell asleep in my craft room tonight at 6:15. I hope that doesn't mean an extra-early morning!

Grandmommy and Alex

We've enjoyed spending time with Grandmommy this week. Alex has gotten used to having someone new around and has really enjoyed the extra attention! Grandmommy played the piano and sang for Alex, and he was enthralled. So now Mommy needs to be sure to play for Alex!
