Alex Totally Looks Like Me!

I mean, right?! This was taken when I was the same age that Alex is now.

Carrots...and a Ham

Awww, snap!

I love how this last one shows his expressive eyebrows that he got from his Grandpa Haney.

Baby Fishmouth!

Alex was not thrilled with his mashed potatoes tonight. I think he was expecting yogurt. I think it's like when you take a sip of milk but for some reason you thought it was going to be Coke.

When he was opening and closing his mouth like a sea bass, I laughed for like 10 minutes. Perhaps baby fishmouth could be in a Pictionary game after all.

Sleeping

I love looking at Alex while he sleeps. I think he's just so cute.

A Smoothie in My Tummy

Alex has gotten the hang of eating solids. Today at lunch, he had a serving of apples. Then half a banana. And then strawberries for the first time, which he seemed to enjoy as well. He's one big fruit smoothie!

Wait, you want me to ham it up?

Okay!

Waving Hello

Alex learned how to wave hello at school. He was happy to wave hello to Stephanie today, and then they had a conversation.

Snuggling with Grandpa

More Swimming

Our hotel in Tampa had an indoor pool, which was great because then I didn't have to worry about Alex's fair skin burning (which I always have to point out anytime someone says he looks just like Heinz. I mean, it's obvious he has my skin tone).

Thanks, Grandma!

We visited the Dueffer family in Tampa a couple of weeks ago. Grandma was only too happy to assist Alex in nomming on his toes. I think she even snuck in a few noms herself.

Big Boy Shopping Trip

Alex had his first trip to the store where he sat up in the shopping cart. He loved looking around at everything and even turned around at one point to see where we were going.

Yes, we're at Wal-Mart. Don't judge. I was surprised that the largest Target in the U.S. was not open at 7:30 a.m.
